LMAO!!
It was so funny to here him talk to a Sheriff that was having a problem with a bureaucrat getting boats to help people stranded on roof tops.
" Before you put a boat on the docks, so me proof of insurance"!
Who was the President?
Who created the problem we are in?
Who lower taxes for the rich during that period and now we are in a recession.
To me the Elephants are done! Anybody voting for this party is either a racist, retarded or a constipated Elephant!

The problem with Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans rescue had to do with the governor's office. It was from the govenor's mansion that the order came for the state police to stop private boat owners from going into New Orleans to do rescue operations. There was a caravan of boaters from the Lafayette area (where I live) that got together and drove to New Orleans but were stopped by the State Police from going in. One group double backed to sneak around the State Police in order to rescue family. Same thing happened with a group of school bus drivers drove to New Orleans to help evacuate the people from New Orleans. State Police turned them back and they returned home with empty buses. Neither Governor Blanco (D) nor mayor Nagin (D) followed their written emergency plan and then blamed the President for their own inaction.

Then there was Representative William Jefferson (D) of New Orleans who used National Guard troops and materials to get to his home and remove certain sealed items from his house. This while he was still under investigation for bribery and other charges after over $90,000 in cash was found in his freezer.

Jindal seems like a nice guy, but his speech the other day was very uninspiring, hackneyed, and without fresh ideas. Unless he learns to become an economic populist, he'll just be another pawn in the GOP.

Oh yea, where was that you know, Commander n Chief. That's right, he was in Phoenix celebrating McCains 90th Birthday while hundreds and hundreds where drowning. Kind of guess Bush didn't follow his emergency plan either eh? Well we all know about FEMA don't we?

It was before news of Vitter having a time with a prostitute came out. He wasn't convicted. Besides, having a fling with a prostitute is minor compared to bribery.
FBI Says Jefferson Was Filmed Taking Cash
Rep. William J. Jefferson (D-La.), the target of a 14-month public corruption probe, was videotaped accepting $100,000 in $100 bills from a Northern Virginia investor who was wearing an FBI wire, according to a search warrant affidavit released yesterday.
A few days later, on Aug. 3, 2005, FBI agents raided Jefferson's home in Northeast Washington and found $90,000 of the cash in the freezer, in $10,000 increments wrapped in aluminum foil and stuffed inside frozen-food containers, the document said.

Had Governor Blanco and Mayor Nagin prepared for the storm according to their written emergency proceedures then those people would not have been in harms way and the Louisiana National Guard would have been moved out of the path of the storm and waiting with emergency equipment at the ready to move in following the storm leaving the state. That didn't happen. Even AmTrak offered the use of their train before the storm to move people out of the city but Nagin and others declined their offer.

Actually he is the "Republican Obama" or so they claim. The Repub's wanted an up and comer with fresh blood but had to abort when Sarah Palin showed her stupidity and you'll see it further this year as oil prices go down and Alaska struggles. Now when Jindal opened his mouth and told the lies about him on the docks with the sheriff,I think he also just sank his career!
