That's false. The tax increase you're talking about is really just a sunset of the Bush tax cuts. They were scheduled to expire on 2011. That schedule was preset by the Republican congress and approved by George Bush. That has nothing to do with Obama. But, carry on with your disinformation if it makes you happy.
Yes, they were scheduled to expire. It's not like Obama couldn't do something about keeping them at the same rate though. By not doing so, he is, in effect, raising them. To say it would have nothing to do with him isn't accurate. It has to do with his choice to allow the rates to adjust.

Then why doesnt Obama extend the tax credit instead of punishing a fragile industry? I do recall Bush asking that these tax credits be continued, but I guess we can all forget that now.
