That transfer has been going on for the last 30 years.

Yes, but not always in tandem with a decrease in middle class income levels.

It has been going on a lot longer than that.

It started when the King and his Nobles realized that there was a Middle Class and that they had money.

It will continue until people decide to take charge of their own lives and not trust Kings, Clerics, or Politicians.

The transfer has always been a part of the game, but this time it got out of control and even the 'masters of the temple' suffer. There is a book called "secrets of the temple" about that topic, and it is pretty interesting. Of course some slam it as conspiracy book, just as they slam Creature From Jekyll Island, which is a very educational book backed with cold & hard historical facts about the Fed and wealth transfer to the elite. I don't worry about the elite being stinking rich as long as the opportunity for every one else still exists. The truth is that it is impossible to have a country where everyone is stinking rich. In US millions of 'little guys' can live a happy and successful life as long as they put in the effort. That's all we're asking for isn't it? Unfortunately the system has been pushed to its breaking point and now the rich and little people alike will pay the consequences.

To have a global currency the US standard of living has to be brought down to the level of the rest of the third world. Or the third world has to be brought up to the level of the US standard. Which would be easier. Crash the dollar and when people think society is about done throw them a bone and start a new one world currency. The trick is to have an economic collaspe but not to the point of a total society collaspe. A total collaspe would cause pitchforks to be used on the elite.

It may look like a conspiracy theory but in fact it's just people that are smart enough to learn the system. Even socialist have a hard time keeping all the wealth out of the top 10%. Now communism on the other hand.....

G Edward Griffin - Creature From Jekyll Island A Second Look at the Federal Reserve
Look at the way the real estate bubble was designed to entrap middle class homeowners. Gave them a taste of wealth, then pull the rug out - all with the wealthy getting richer than ever, and laughing as they get the middle class taxpayer to subsidize their lifestyles. Did the Fed realize that jumping the interest rates during the bubble would crash the market? - I believe so.
