Government is by far the greediest institution of them all. Corporations can be greedy but their greed creates jobs, improves communities and promotes social mobility. Capitalism is by no means a perfect system however, it is a system that allows people to be free from Government's control and tyranny.

Interesting fact: The president of the Democratic Socialist Party of the US even said that Obama is not a socialist (but wished he was). In fact, the closest person in the election to socialism was Sarah Palin.

That's funny, the govt is the biggest employer in my area.

A corporation's main goal is to make a profit. There's nothing wrong with that but it can get in the way of doing the right thing. There needs to be a balance between positive economic growth and sound management that maintains it's structural integrity. If corporations had their way, without regulation, you'd see more pollution, dangerous working conditions, and more volatility in the markets.

Kinda reminds me of the early 1900's.
