I bet there's a hell lot of businesses that are doing good: Dollar store, Wal-mart, mechanics, farmers markets, etc.
Anything that has to do with people saving money.
I HAVE seen positive stories about grocery stores getting more customers, auto repair places busy because people are holding onto their cars, etc. But what you don't seem to get is that when such sectors flourish it means another sector may be taking a hit. We've had restaurants going out of business here, for instance, and I've seen some car lots closed down.

The economy IS bad. Pretending that it isn't makes people even more upset because they figure there's a big scam or coverup going on.

I have no doubt the media brings the markets down. They spent the past 8-years doing it. Now that they've appointed their annointed one, well, the financial crisis is hitting them, too.

So I guess they're still runnong on, "Hey, if it bleeds, it leads!"
