"fails upward" to head of the RNC. Yet the Rs cheered on Bush, while the "long knives" come out for Michael Steele! Steele was being praised as the next savior of the party a couple of weeks ago. Even Michelle Bachmann shouted out "you 'da' man" after his speech. When the second whitest woman in America is trying to "get down" with a brutha you know his days are numbered!
Seriously, after all the BS last summer about Obama's thin resume' did no one ever take a look at Steele's list of "accomplishments". The guy makes GW Bush's track record look like a business and campaign genius. Here's a bit of his CV:
1. ONE, count it, ONE win running for elective office. And he didn't even head that ticket.
2. Lost the Senate race in MD.
3. Finished THIRD in the Republican primary for state comptroller.
4. Never recruited any outstanding candidates to run for office when heading the MD Republican party.
5. In 2006 got in trouble for some unguarded comments regarding "W". When confronted about it he TRIED TO LIE HIS WAY OUT OF IT.
6. In 2006 he tried to link stem cell research to "medical" experiments that the Nazis carried out on prisoners.
7. Touts that he graduated from Johns Hopkins and Georgetown Law. Always overlooks that he initially flunked out of Hopkins. Was unable to pass the Maryland bar exam.
8. Forgot to pay back a $35,000 "loan" from his sister that he was using in his campaign for comptroller.
9. Took about $200,000 out of retirement accounts to fund his campaign, leaving him a net worth of about $600 when running for comptroller.
10. During his campaign for Lt. Governor it was revealed that the R party was paying him a "consulting" fee of $5,000/month.
11. A "consulting" business that he started never turned a profit and was a big drain on his personal finances.
I guess he didn't have enough powerful friends to buy a baseball team for him and get a lot of sweetheart land deals to make the team profitable.
More respect for the leader of the Republican party,
I'm still waiting for him to implement his plan of taking conservatism to the inner city.
When is that gonna start?
nobody is gonna go for that this isnt the same republican party of the 60's and below its now what the democrats were=conservatives.
