Anger management and government:

Suggested reform #1 - On election day, each voter gets to vote his "shares" based on the sum of all taxes paid. The more he pays, the more his vote counts. If one has not paid any taxes, no vote is allowed. No one can run for office who has not paid taxes in the last seven years, as evidenced by his voting record.

Suggested reform #2 - Eliminate all caps on "allowable" bribery and corruption. However, any legislator who votes on a bill that affects any contributor, is nullified, as a conflict of interest. Any enacted law subsequently found to have been subject to a conflict of interest, is nullified, and must be sent back for a new vote.

Suggested reform #3 - Create a new legislative branch, whose sole duty is to repeal laws. By a 51% majority, a law can be stricken from the books. If 51% don't like a law, it is probably a bad law.

You need a new circle of friends.

Yes, concentrate power and wealth even MORE in the hands of the wealthy and powerful. That'll solve our problems. Brilliant.

Poll: Obama's rating at all-time high - White House- msnbc.com

Oh, and the approval ratings for Democrats in Congress are also near an all time high where as Republicans in Congress are suffering from near record low polling numbers. I'd say it isn't Congress which is unpopular, it is Republicans along with their obstructionism.
70% of liberals, not americans. The pole is not legitimate, msnbc couldnt hold a legitimate pole if their life depended on it.

Have you ever considered a flat tax. If you buy something, you pay a tax on it. Then everyone would be paying taxes. The more you make the more you spend and the more tax you pay. So why not increase the current Federal sales tax. No more tax returns, No more unfair credits. You could then reassign the IRS to other duties, thus saving the government millions of dollars.

Brain function management and reformers.

!. Get a grip. For someone who argues about personal freedom, voting based upon income is about the screwiest idea to come down the pike in a long time. Of course if you like the fact that Terrell Owens, PacMan Jones, and Stephon Marbury will be outvoting you by the pound....

2. And I thought you were for individual freedom, individuals being sovereign and all that.

3. Oh, yeah that's brilliant add another layer to the nut house. As fast as they outlaw something the other two will reenact them. That could be fun to watch.

Exactly how I've felt for the past 8 years.

Today I at least feel great that we have competent leadership, even if the past administration was so dreadful, incompetent and disgusting that I was sickened we had such criminals in power.

Hopefully we can indict them someday and put this all behind us.

God Bless America!

George W is gone
And McCain didn't win

America knows who created the problems and we are not happy about that...that's why the Republican party lost seats in Congress and we elected a progressive Democrat as a president.

Americans are disappointed that George W dragged the country down to such depths that it will take an exceptionally gifted leader to pull us out. We now have that with Obama.

We know that Obama will not be able to right GW's wrongs in a 3 or 6 month period but we know that he is moving us in the right direction, upward.

The preservation of America's greatness transcends Rep or Dem; America is tired of the partisan BS and we are ready for a unified fight to regain our greatness.

Why is it necessary to throw rocks at your own house? An America divided can not stand.

When I hear the pundits (like Rush) wishing for Obama to fail all I can think about it the fact that they would rather destroy their own country than see this man succeed. Where is the patriotism in that?

I think both parties are rotten. I do however believe the Democrat party is infested with commies. And I believe the Repub party is all for NAU and global government too but maybe slightly more benign.

What should happen is that there should be no political parties and that each politician runs according to his experience, beliefs, and qualifications.

And that each politician, in particular running for President should get multiple security checks to make sure they're a decent human being and that they should on LIVE TV on all channels debate their opponents 7 times so the American people can pick the right person.

And I think the public school systems should just teach reading, writing, science and arithmatic and that's it.

Yes, of course!

It's all so easy, isnt it? Why hasn't anyone just done these simple things and made everything work the way it's supposed to?

Every complex problem has a simple, easy-to-understand solution that doesn't work.
