Why can't all the conservatives who post on here be like him?

On "State of the Union" today, the former CEO of GE said that, while he wishes Obama was enacting policies more to his liking, he gives Obama an A+ for leadership, organizing a team that works, and taking the only action that can be taken when capitalism temporarily fails.

That seems far more reasonable than constantly harping on Obama about bowing or teleprompters or bowing or whatever other meaningless distractions lead people to throw their arms back and say he's pathetic.

Interesting comments from Welch. I used to have a lot of respect for him (he made a lot of money for me and others when he was at GE) but lost a lot when the revelations about his "skimming" and cheating on his wife came to light. I had heard that he respected Obama so far but hadn't heard of this yet.

So because he respects another human being, you can't respect him?

Conservative "values" just continue to baffle me.

This kind of reminds me of people bashing clinton over what was between him and his wife. Whatever aspect of myself that has little relation to my job performance really needs to become irrelevant criteria. Skimming... another story. That has direct bearing. Problem is the climate we've permitted in commerce only rewards those who do as romans do, and that's something we the people really have to get purged out. We need to stick together on that subject or we're sunk. They count on us being divided to steal by writ and I think the american public has had about all it can stand.

Perhaps I misunderstood GolfGod's point. I can see losing respect for an individual for the skimming issue. I thought he was implying he couldn't respect him because he said something good about Obama.

My apologies if I misunderstood.
