And ad to that, this one, because these quotes go to the heart of what we are trying to convince the liberals of, who so diligently try to desparage and destroy wealth and in so doing, freedom:

"Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built." — Abraham Lincoln

The "Ten Points" appear every February 12 in newspaper ads honoring Abraham Lincoln. In fact, these aphorisms are from the pen of Reverend William John Henry Boetcker (1873-1962). Illinois Historic Preservation Agency
Regardless of who wrote them - they are wise words which would well do the Fed administration.

As journalist states in reference to the Ten Points:
Quote:
First and foremost I think they’re extremely pertinent given the current state of our economy.
Secondly, they illustrate my point more eloquently and more concise than I ever could. The Daily Sentinel (http://www.thedailysentinel.com/story.lasso?ewcd=db23916e9f6bd67d - broken link)

Interesting.....

The mistake of crediting Lincoln for having been the source of "The Ten Cannots" has been repeated many times since, most notably by Ronald Reagan in a speech he gave at the 1992 Republican convention in Houston.

There is a reason why quotations from certain sources have more credibility than others. Same something "wise" and we see how much import is put behind it.

William Ayers, the right wing talkingpoint that says more about the person who mentions that name than it says about any nefarious and paranoid connection between he and Obama.

While both sat on some school board somewhere or their paths otherwise crossed somewhere, the red meat eating Repug's start foaming whenever the name is mentioned.

A Pavlovian response, and one that is easily remembered by the base (as opposed to actual facts)

This and "Socialism" form the core of the wingnut talking points, or did during the campaign

the concept that it is immoral to tax the rich but not the poor was also refuted by mr lincoln
in his speech debates with douglas "the divine right of kings".
