Although this isn't a great source, I agree with what the article is saying. CNN's Anderson Cooper is covering all of the White House parties admiringly on his show and doesn't appear to think there's anything wrong with it.
Earlier this week, they interviewed the woman in charge of the invites and the social calendar and she was unabashedly chortling about all of the attention she's getting and how the White House parties are the toast of the town.
It's really a disgrace. And it's especially disturbing how the much-exulted, "intelligent" Obama doesn't see how this is a problem. Or he DOES get it and he simply doesn't care and won't let it interfere with his fun.
