How naive....you pay for the uber wealthy and for those who don't have insurance RIGHT NOW! The over priced health insurance we pay for now goes to the bloated wages of insurance execs....do you like that?
He says he's "not well off"..LOL..well he's in for a surprise.. HE'S JUST AS VULNERABLE AS THE REST OF US...
Unless he has nice chunk of investments and money in the bank and large amounts of equity in his home..should he find himself ill and turned down by the insurance company OR laid off and unable to pay for Cobra and in need of medical procuedures taht are expensive.. he will fall victime just like the rest of us can. He's nieve to think he is immune and safe from it all..
EVen the wealthy could loose it all if they got sick and had no coverage and had to spend an insane amount of money for treatments..etc.
Hey, Commies, I am not paying for any lowlife's health insurance with my tax money. I am far from being well off and even if I was, I would refuse to pick up the tab for riff raff like that nutcase, unemployed lowlife in CA who chose to have 14 babies. If you don't mind giving your hard earned money to your nanny, The Messiah, go right ahead, but do not count me in!
1) It's not your tax money, it belongs to the state.
2) Whether you like it or not pal, "your" money is already going to lowlifes, only these lowlifes are the uber-rich CEOs and executives of private insurance companies, who are laughing their a--es off at people like you for being so gullible and giving them a large chunk of your paycheck each month, for less and less coverage.

The double-standards in this forum are amazing, seriously. People (such as the poster I'm replying to) just want to look for an easy target, in this case, the poor.
It kind of reminds me of pre-WW2 Nazi Germany, when a man named Hitler brainwashed an entire nation into scapegoating the Jews, and look where that went. I'm not saying that the same will happen in the United States, but there are some pretty frightening, cold and heartless people out there who don't give a rat's a-- about anyone else, but themselves.

After all the posts you've made describing just how many choices you made that led to your situation, I am amazed you keep using yourself as an example .
You are a poster child for why people keep saying they resent paying for others.
Especially in that, while it may hurt to admit your own contributions to your situation, it may help avoid just as bad, or worse ones, in the future.
If we don't find a way for everyone to receive
Food
water
housing
heat
electricity
and health care
we will be a very
W E A K
nation.
Agreed 100%.
All other "successful" nations on earth have social welfare programs in place. If the rich/poor gap continues to grow, the United States will become a far more violent than it is now, which will lead to instability on so many levels.

OH NO she isn't... the selfish, short-sighted, ignorant people who can't see the necessity of a healthy nation just need a scapegoat.

So now we're proposing nationalizing supermarkets, restaurants, electric companies, gas companies, and abolishing home ownershp for national projects acrossed the nation in favor of government controlled and built houses?
Ooh wait, you didnt say that, which pretty much is my point. Just because some people cant afford items needed to survive, you dont go out and nationalize it..

Last I checked, we have a social welfare in place for those who cant/wont.. In fact, over 1/2 of the federal budget goes towards social programs to support these individuals.

Have you read her posts over many months to know what I am talking about?
I'll be the first to admit there is a lot wrong with the health care and insurance industry but I also know that, since it is what we have to work with, right now....and in the past,we have to do what we have to do in order to best potect our own welfare.
Not liking it or the cost doesn't mean ignoring it will make it go away or work for us by some kind of 'luck'
