Here's Limbaugh getting attacked by a donkey....the funny thing is,Limbaugh bought it and took it home with him after this happened.Maybe he didn't REALLY have a BOIL on his butt that kept him out of 'Nam....the soreness may have been from other things.
I see so many of my neighbors with dogs they claim to love and some keep them in 6'x8" kennels much of the day. I've always told my wife it makes me sad to keep a sentient being you claim to love locked up in a cage smaller than a jail cell we keep nasty criminals in for punishment.
I don't claim to have the solution to this problem (other than not having a dog if you have to kennel them most of the day) but this situation just seems so out of wack to me that it paines me evertime I see it and hear the poor dog barking out of boredom and probably wondering what he did to be punished by being locked up in a small cage all day.
The way many animals are mistreated it's no wonder some of them finally attack humans who have abused them...whether intentionally or by just not understanding and meeting their inherent needs. I've been to zoos over the years and some zoos seem like decent places for some of the animals they have and other zoo's you just walk away so sad for the animals in such a boring, cramped and filthy place where they are denied anything close to their natural habitat.
I do recall over the years though that when reading about some animal or another attacking a human who was taunting or intentionally harming it in some way....thinking to myself that the human got what he/she deserved. The unfortunate thing is the the animal is usually killed for the unpardonable offense of fighting back. Some humans have a depraved sense of right and wrong regarding animals (or anything else actually)....that I can tell you from experience.
I think some animals might be better suited to captivity than others. Some animals need very large spaces to live out their natural desires....perhaps some animals can be successfully kept happy in a non-native environment.
I'm not sure if this is a trick question or not. An animal, if locked in an enclosure w/out enough mental & physical stimulation will start to show behavior of in a sense going crazy.

I just do not always equate anger with insanity.
And, I'm suggesting that humans have not cornered the market on anger - insanity yes - but anger? I think it needs further study.

True, then we'd all be insane.
