All you have to do is drive through any subdivision/rich suburb in America and you'll see countless little rich white kids trying to be "Gansta's"....Your link was interesting tho'
funny, when I was a little kid, in Englewood (all white at that time) folks would wonder who was that "little black kid" (Olive skin and very dark tan with sun exposure). As an adult, I always wanted to know what it felt like to be "black" in a predominantly white society, but am definatly not into any kind of "gangsta" stuff. . . just a middle class, well educated, ordinary person. . .
Now live in Arizona, and work outdoors, so the Olive skin / dark tan stuff still applies, and often, lighter skinned black folk that I work with will "compare" their skin color to mine. . . and I am quite often darker than they are.
So has anybody done this besides basketball players?
