He explained that. Were you not listening, or did you not understand?

There is an explanation for EVERYTHING. I tend to question the bulls--t explanations though.

You mean this one?

He said, however, that it was crucial for him to sign the $410 billion bill as soon as it arrived at the White House from Congress because it's needed to finance much of the government for the rest of this fiscal year. It was largely written last year but was held back while Republican George W. Bush was president because he opposed it.

""I am signing an imperfect . . . bill," Obama said, "because it's necessary for the ongoing functions of government, and we have a lot more work to do. We can't have Congress bogged down at this critical juncture in our economic recovery
It was also signed in private, shameful as it was.

Perhaps I hinted at that in my post.

No, what he really meant was what he said. The fact that you can't keep up with the man is not a reflection on him.

Obama played no role in developing the nine bills bundled into the omnibus budget, save for that played as a Senator back in 2008. As President in 2009, he has no say in it or control over it. He does have control over the FY 2010 budget submission as was explained earlier.

Besides, it was McCain who during his campaign, who PROMISED to veto any bill containing earmarks. Why would President Obama uphold a McCain promise!
Please, the budget process can be extended for months if necessary, with no harm to any dept. no harm to any Guvment employee....

Do some research on past budget delays, they are so common even a former commoner like BO can understand it.

What will it take for you libs to see this Snake oil salesman for what he is?

Huh? What will it take? Absolute destruction of everything that makes America Great???? Just wait.. it is coming to a neighborhood near you...

This is seriously the best you can do, isn't it. Somebody pokes holes in some right-wing sham or other, and stammering is all that people can come back with? Try playing the way intelligent people do...you know, deal with facts and reason and stuff like that. You'll be better served by it, believe me...

According to the news tonight, he lacks the votes needed to pass his budget as-is. Even some Democrats are speaking up against it now.

Peace.

There are at least ten videos on YouTube (just searched) of Obama stating unequivocally that he will end earmarks if he is elected. There is nothing ambiguous about his comments in the least. For you to suggest that this was not his intent or meaning indicates to me that you are in the same category as Clinton and his lawyer. "I did not have sex with that woman...." [translation: she had sex with me]

Yeh he said he was going to lower the tax burden on the middle class and bring the troops home from Iraq too...I could go on but this Traitor tires me, He needs to go back to Chicago where they are use to this kind of leadership.

PS, anyone with half a monkey brain knows that the troops need to be there, and they aren't coming home for a long, long, time.... Iran is still a threat.
