President Obama seems to be undergoing a strange metamorphosis. He's slowly turning into John McCain!

What is really funny about this is that if Obama is morphing into John McCain, then all the attacks on Obama are less about policy and more about his race or his party. Otherwise, if their positions are the same, then one would think that either John McCain was a socialist spreader of wealth and champion of Marxist ideology that people on the right were weeping over when he lost.

or

It could also be that Obama isn't as left as most first believed. In the piece listed in the OP, it is being asserted that some of Obama's economic policies are eerily similar to that of John McCain and it is already pretty well established that the actual liberal left isn't thrilled over Obama's foreign policy, most notably with Afghanistan and rendition. Even many on this forum who are or a right leaning bent have stated they agree with many of Obama's foreign policies, which leads us again to, what Obama really is.

We actually had a pretty decent conversation and tossed out a few predictions as to what would be the real Obama.
