I dont understand how this thread turned so political when it wasnt a political interview.
This wasnt a left vs right or dem vs. reb interview.
This interview was two people sitting down and talking about the current economic situation and how certain people and entities have manipulated the markets.
That's because the Far Right crowd saw the name "Stewart" - and without even taking the time to watch the video, pounced all over it.
I'm watching the unedited interview and I have to say Jim Cramer came on in humility and didn't let Stewart roll over him, let him ask questions, let him lead the interview and humbly answered each and every question.
Referring to The Daily Show on the same level of C/D is a GREAT analogy. I'll gladly refer to him by his pseudonym in exchange for that acknowledgment!
I'm sorry that I'm not "hip" enough to veg out on the couch and purchase overpriced cable television watching Mr. Leibowitz's show.
You have a computer - go here and watch "Cramer Pt. 2."
To repeat my initial post on page 1; can someone provide the youtube clip where JS goes off on Barney Frank, after BF claimed that Fanny May and Freddie Mac where in good financial standing and were at no risk of them going under and then 3 months thereafter that very thing happened? I mean if JS, really "cares about Americans" as his fans claim then he wouldn't politicize it, now would he? I wanna see the clip of him going off on Frank the way he did Cramer, I bet it's hilarious. Thanks
I always wonder why the conservatives don't have someone on par with Stewart that can interject comedy and cater to a young fanbase as well. Dennis Miller somewhat could've, but I think he goes over too many peoples' heads.
>>> Fox has Hannity and Glen Beck who have dumbed down their shows with comedy to appeal to the masses. They're not as bad as Olbermann or Maddow who REALLY talk down to their audiences( idiots talking down to their audiences, tell me who'd actually watch them. Few apparently, by their ratings). About the only shows left with real commentary is Oreilly or Lou Dobbs and even the Oreilly pulls his punches so much to get people on he's getting boring.
The best comedians are apolitical and non partisan and truly intelligent. Not too many of those around, and John Liebowitz isn't one of them. But Colbert is. But even he could tone down his bizarre goofiness and sharpen his commentary to appeal to the more mature and informed viewer.
Colbert is a spin off from the John Stewert show. His satire and sarcasm crack me up but, it is the comedy channel.
