If you are a supporter of, or just interested in "Fair Tax" then this will be something you need to watch.

Tuesday, March 17th–at 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) Iowa Congressman Steve King is going to host a “Special Order” on the floor of the House of Representatives on the FairTax! For one full hour Members of Congress will discuss the FairTax and how our legislation can save the US economy!

As we speak, Congressman King is working to have several other members join him on the floor tomorrow night. House leadership has asked Congressman King to mention President Obama’s plans for tax increases, so the Congressman and other members will be contrasting these planned tax hikes with the FairTax and all it can do to stimulate our economy. …

You can catch the proceeding on C-SPAN via your local cable provider, or stream it live at http://www.cspan.org/. Be sure to tell you friends and colleagues to tune-in as well.

Please note this time is subject to change because of House floor activities that may run long. However, please stay tuned to C-SPAN to catch the session whenever it begins.

I can't take seriously anything that has the word, "fair" in it.

Sounds like an alternate-scam to me.

Someone once defined, fair, as a stacked deck.

Though I am interested in the proposal, I must agree with this.

Over the years, I've learned to shy away from anything with the words "common sense," "family-," "real-," and "fair."

Read the book and you probably won't be thinking that.

Nope. All I saw was Rep Michell Backman (R) giving an anti-Obama speech to a TV camera in empty Congress.

Oh how wonderful it would be if people would actually read up on this tax before they slammed it!!!! I was hearing on NPR that in order to fund the future of our country, many economists think we will have to resort to a similar tax structure as Europe. The Fair Tax would be so much better!!!! I wish that this swould be taken seriously in our government.

How did it go? I cut back on my DirectTV a few weeks ago, one of the channels to go was CSPAN. This would have been interesting to watch.
