WASHINGTON - Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank called Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia a "homophobe" in a recent interview with the gay news Web site 365gay.com.
The Democratic lawmaker, who is gay, was discussing gay marriage and his expectation that the high court would some day be called upon to decide whether the Constitution allows the federal government to deny recognition to same-sex marriages.
"I wouldn't want it to go to the United States Supreme Court now because that homophobe Antonin Scalia has too many votes on this current court," said Frank. The video of the interview is available online.
Frank is totally correct on this one. Scalia was furious and went out of his way to write a 50 page blustering dissent in lawrence v texas, the sodomy decision. He is a mean SOB who only uses constructionalist theory when it suits his beliefs.

Barney Frank took kickbacks from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac while totally IGNORING the warnings that there were problems with these institutions. He had a boyfriend running a freakin' ESCORT SERVICE out of his apartment! And his refusal to WEAR TEETH makes him sound like an absolute moron.
But it absolutely FIGURES that libs like you admire him. Again, I'm just AMAZED that the gay community wants anything to do with him because he's absolutely disgusting and a poster boy for gay stereotypes.
Barney Frank is absolutely disgusting. The gays need to shut him up, not encourage him to speak for them.
I think we liberals are much happier with Barney Frank speaking for us than the conservatives are with Palin/Jindal/Joe the Plumber/Cantor/Limbaugh/Beck/Coulter/O'Reilly speaking for them.
