Thank goodness.

This is exactly what scares the right-neo cons in this country. They hate intelligent debate and discourse.

Apparently it's been so long since we had a leader who could deliver a decent speech that nobody knows what one would sound like. The Bushes couldn't speak well, but Obama is about as much as an intellectual as George W. was. Obama speaks like a preacher, not a college professor.

When I first heard all the fuss about the candidate named Obama, I listed to one of his campaign speeches, and found that he could speak for a half hour and say absolutely nothing. He had no ideas or proposals, and he used the sing-songy, slow pace of speech typical of evangelical preachers.

After following the health care insurance reform debacle, I found he also managed to throw out items of information that were either totally wrong (he claimed in one speech that employers' health care costs would be reduced by 3,000% and would consequently award all their employees big raises; his office the next day said he "misspoke" and meant $3,000) or seriously misleading (the Bill will "reduce the deficit," but is based on income that won't be realized such as the 40% penalty on Cadillac Plans and the taxes from the hypothetical raises everyone will get after the Bill somehow LOWERS health care costs).

Read a speech by Winston Churchill, or Thomas Jefferson. You have to go pretty far back; our modern political system is as good at weeding out quality leaders as the CEO selection process at large corporations.

A parrot doesn't understand much of what it repeats, just as Obama doesn't understand much of what he reads off the teleprompter. The fact that Obama and Bush get compared more and more to each other every day, that they are being seen as so similar, must drive people nuts on both ends of the politcal extremes.

Hitler had an IQ of 140, which is higher than Obama's. People liked to hear him talk as well.

Bush's IQ is 117. JFKs was 119.

The two most intelligent presidents of the 20th century by IQ points were Nixon and Carter.

Check out this interview of an Obama insider: Sean Linnane: THE PRESIDENT IS LOSING IT

From the article: "he plays a lot of golf, and watches a lot of television – ESPN mainly. I’ll tell you this – if you want to see President Obama get excited about a conversation, turn it to sports. That gets him interested. You start talking about Congress, or some policy, and he just kinda turns off. It’s really very strange. I mean, we were all led to believe that this guy was some kind of intellectual giant, right? Ivy League and all that. Well, that is not what I saw. Barack Obama doesn’t have a whole lot of intellectual curiosity. When he is off script, he is what I call a real “slow talker”. Lots of ummms, and lots of time in between answers where you can almost see the little wheel in his head turning very slowly."

The first time I heard him speak I realized he spoke with an evangelist preacher's sing-songy cadence, but said absolutely nothing in terms of information, proposed policies, or practical ideas. Apparently many people have trouble distinguishing someone reading from a teleprompter from an intelligent man.

It was an interview by an insider to the Obama Administation, telling us what it is like to work with The Annointed One.

And if it was a liberal rag, the story would not have been published at all.
