After trillions in taxpayer debt has been foolishly poured into the bottomless black hole of leftist wealth redistribution programs, under the guise of economic “stimulus” or “stabilization” legislation, the new “ONE World” government running Washington DC announces

Americans are largely silent?
Maybe because they approve of the job the new administration has done?
Ya think?

There is a vocal minority that is anything but silent.
In fact, they won't shut up - despite having nothing to say.

To the OP:
That sort of talk is really irresponsible. Plus, the money ISN'T SPENT YET. Maybe a good part of the spending that has been suggested won't be needed.

The Right Wing loses a national election, due to the MANIFEST INCOMPETENCE of the previous administration, and they go absolutely cuckoo.

well i watched the last 90 days, i dont see a left monoply on crazy spending.
i think americans got a spending problem. i agree they are sinking to the bottom of the pool smiling. in france, they got labor unions who fight the cancers that try to kill them aka unfair trade and cheap illegal labor. here we hate unions. 60 years of the good life will do that to you.
we forgot didn't we.

Perhaps they are being silent, like that known ultra left socialist Olympia Snow, because hey are starting to see something for their money?

Number 1 - George W Bush created the "black hole"

Number 2 - Obama has an approval rating of 71% so I think that most Americans are happy with the fact that momentum is swinging into a new and better direction for our country

Number 3 - The order of the day is OPTIMISM - I realize that some may have forgotten that after 8 years of a war monger regime, but most Americans have gained our sense of optimism....try it you'll like it!

It's scary votes to confiscate 90% of a persons earnings, forced national service, attempts to take over 16% of the economy (health care), $9.2 trillion dollar deficits (CBO estimates), one world currency, attempts to dictate compensation levels.

While at the same time we have an administration represented by someone who can't have a press conference without a teleprompter, thinks there are 57 states, thinks P/E stands for profit to earnings ratio, who's Treasury Sec. didn't pay his taxes and had 4 others who had to drop out because they had the same problem.

This is a small sample of what the problems are. Right now he is attacking the top 2% of society but just wait he is coming for the rest of us.

Despite the continuing drama and doom-saying, it appears that people think things are getting better:

Pollster.com: State of the Country: Right Direction / Wrong Track

Pollster.com: State of the Economy: Getting Better / Worse

Sure, the numbers are still low, but look how they've improved since Oct. 08.

If we are 'quiet' now, perhaps it is because the population as a whole is more patient than the 'experts' who need to create crises to get ratings.
