The problem is to expect the Obama and Democratic party to dust off the bill H.R. 1022 and reintroduce it early next year. That way the public will have 2 years to get over it before the next election comes around.

If Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the anti-gun Democrats had any common sense, they'd make the economy their first and only priority. Somebody should also remind those politicians of what will happen if they go on a gun-ban crusade - Remember 1994? Seems like they still haven't learned a lesson!
They'll definitely see some big opposition from the NRA, the Second Amendment Foundation, Gun Owners of America, and over 80 million gun owners in the United States.

There's no doubt that they'll reintroduce it, and with the majority the Dems have, there's no doubt it'll pass. There's also no doubt that Obama will sign any anti-gun legislation that crosses his desk.
Yep, it's coming. Buy anything on that list that you want and can afford - it's your last chance.

Eh, I have a few gifts from relatives. Im good.
All this will do is create a black market for the exact kinds of weapons they're banning.
Law of Supply and Demand- If there's a demand, SOMEBODY will supply it.
And it looks like if a black market IS created, then perhaps Uncle Sam simply wont have his fingers so much in the cookie jar.
They plan on requiring so many legal hurdles of sellers and gun manufacturers, that they won't be able to do anything without it being a huge hassle and having it be potentially illegal if they don't follow the rules to the tee. See this month's issue of the NRA magazine if you can get hold of one. There is a great article on just this subject.
WHY do pols insist on pursuing "non-issues"... they should be worried about creation of good new jobs... and figuring out what to do about the situation overseas... THAT IS IT! Leave the g*damn legal gun owners alone and enforce the rules we have already.
Join the NRA and/or your local state rifle asoc. The powers that be are involved in a global anti-gun crusade now. And the BATF is now under a different jurisdiction than in the "Reno" days... which will make it easier to push this cr*p though... Stop this nonsense.

What these politicians just can't seem to get through their heads is, no matter how many rules, laws, and regulations they pass, criminals are not going to follow them, they never have, and they never will.

I am a life member of the NRA, and a member of The Second Amendment Foundation.
