I have to backtrack a little and admit that there's some truth to this. Research does show that gay men are more emotional than straight men. Some stereotypes have a basis in fact.
Thank you for that link. It's more proof that there's so much about animal behavior that has existed for thousands of years but that we still don't understand.
Scientists still aren't even sure why some people are left-handed - let alone homosexual!

First off, religion is based off of culture. Without culture, there is no religion. Religion is simply the justification of certain cultural norms. Why do Muslims segregate men and women?" God told them to do it. So it's justified since the creator of everything told you to do it. Fast forward to the late 1980s-2000s and it's changed from "progressive" to "chic" to "normal".
At least in SoCal, there is a homosexual "chic" in Los Angeles. Scene guys making out for the shock value. It's become almost cliche. (edit...after writing that sentence I did a google search for "scene kid" the first thing that popped up was Urban Dictionary talking about guys kissing other guys for shock value). So, it'll take time before it goes from novelty to norm. People need to know that the norm is first.
Culture breeds intolerance and homophobia. A culture of ignorance will not provoke scientific thought and hence will lead to a supernatural justification of biological events. We know that there is variance for what is considered normal sexually. The Bible denotes this variance without regard to scientific knowledge. Rather the variance denoted is due to God's decree. Thus, this view is subjected to the bias of the Jews and Christians of the time.
As for modern times, we are reaching and redefining what is normal. It will take time. It was seen as unnatural when parents were together back in the mid 1970s in suburban San Diego (my father is white, my mother is black)
