Is the hate, homophobia, dislike, or disgust with homosexuals and homosexuality a cultural or religious thing?

Without being taught by mom, dad, or other people would it be a natural innate reaction to hate a gay person??

No. Hate is acquired and reinforced by society. That is why a heterosexually-based society denies the humanity and inclusion of gay people.

Next time you're at the hardware store, ask for two male bolts. Then go back to building your house and see how sturdy it is without the female counterpart. This stuff is not coincidence people

No, I don't think so. Repulsion toward the thought of homosexuality may be natural for some, but outright hatred against gays is taught.

I'm grossed out by the thought of eating liver, but I don't "hate" liver.

That has nothing to do with the discussion. Try to stay on-topic.

If you insist:

Jesus didn't preach hate, therefore Christians do not hate the homosexual. Christians hate the sin, not the sinner.

Given that a large portion of our population is Christian, i'd reconcile that it is a religious thing.

I voted #4. It's an innate human reaction based on insecurities in the individual's own life.
