Says it is a sterilization plot. Unbelievable. Is there NOTHING that can be done to rid the world of these freaks?

Hey if we can all just start to communicate with each other and understand each other, we can get past these cultural differences....

I thought this respondent's comments offered food for thought:

"So the Taliban deny polio vaccine to hundreds of thousands of children with the claim that the vaccinations are a Western plot to sterilize Muslims while the Pope condems the use of condoms with the claim that they actually spread HIV/AIDS. Does anyone need any more proof positive of the absolute and utter stupidity and madness of the heart of darkness that is religion? The actions of the Taliban and the Pope are both examples of biological terrorism raised to high art. Where is common sense?"

I don't agree. People can do things in the name of religion but that does not mean it's the actual intention of religion. I think the Pope like the Taliban allows personal motives to over take the true message. I believe at it's core religion is good and tries to create peace for man, the flaw in that is man itself. No one person is perfect and that allows personal feelings to make some one bias on an issue.

I can't believe Pakistan basically just handed over part of their country to the Taliban. Consigning millions of their own people--and especially women and girls--to a lifetime of misery. The whole country is a nightmare. Completely incapable of governing itself. Why are there so many countries in the world so completely incapable of instituting fair and stable governments?

Believe it or not the Taliban is preferable to some compared to the status quo...at least it's order (drug use and acts against sharia law have increased dramatically). You know that evil that was inherent in communism? (not really communism itself but the cronies that were trying to implement it) It's new form (after Hitler) is theocracy in the these regions. State sponsored religion is as bad as state sponsored atheism. We'll call it the beast. It's goal is control of the state and power. It always starts out the same. Convert then destroy. "If" we ever make it out of this form of the beast the next form is going to be extremely ugly. I don't think we make it out of this one IMO. Proliferation is the goal for these folks so they can have control and power. Atheist (USSR commies) believed there is no god and this life is it giving them no real reason for Jihad....er... I mean mutual destruction. That's why you see the same actions far left liberals and what is suppose to be conservative (that's debatable) republicans. You'll see Obama back this up here soon enough with NK... another one of those axis of evil's. But now that Obama isn't on the trail he needs to try and keep his stances from the trail and behind the scenes do the national security non partisan thing.

If he picks to abandon the fight for either protectionism or massive at home spending it will be disastrous. His budget makes him make a very tough choice because he can't police the world and build our nation without making FDR look like a hard core conservative on budget deficits.
