I like the news from CBC (Canada) and BBC, they just report the news in a serious way, that is it, no circus, drama or BS like we do here.

I agree with you 100% on the BBC & CBC. They turn off the "Show Time" and stick to reading the news.

Right now, it's: AMERICA CHALLENGED, with a subtitle indicating ominous violence to come. It's sickening. And what's with the talking heads proliferation on television? My god, if I had to listen to myself talk that much every damn day, I'd be bored to tears. And yet they just LOVE it: from Hannity to Maddow--blah,blah,blah,blah,blah. A bunch of ratings whores. The whole damn lot of them should be completely ignored.

Thank you for your time.
We're in complete agreement here.

Too much Comedy can dull one's senses.

I recommend the Daily Show and the Cobear Repoar for serious news reporting.

In the morning I watch Morning Joe, and in the evening I've gotten into Campbell Brown's show just so I don't have to watch Olbermann or O'Reilly. Aside from that the BBC is awesome. I'd also recommend CBC's "The National" with Peter Mansbridge. Last time I checked they had streaming video from their website and it's really good.

You're not too far off with that statement. I do like watching the Daily Show just to hear what I'm feeling when I listen to all this talk of bailouts and government giveaways. Jon Stewart gets the anger and frustration out with just the right bit of sarcastic comedy.
