Ummmm.....Notre Dame does not received any public funding. Private college.
As such, great to see these people sticking up for what they believe.

As an Irish Catholic whose been to over 20 black and gold games having the President address the class of 2009 is more then welcome in my book. My friends their, faculty and students, are also happy to have him.

I would be interested to see any polling done on campus. As a private university they should be able to invite whoever they want to without any comments from the peanut gallery. The 400k signing the internet protest (most probably aren't Catholic anyways) should move to South Bend and have their voices heard, or identify themselves as donors.
You need to go back to church and learned about the catholic church teachings. Instead of going to football games.

You know what I would love to see?

Obama giving the commencement and the crowd walking out.

Would that be something to behold? I wonder if the liberal media would show that.

He is coming to Notre Dame whether you want him to or not. And frankly nobody gives a hoot about it- abortion is legal and will remain so no matter what the church thinks about it.

obama isnt there yet, and the friar there could always refuse him at the last minute.

alot of alumni contribute money to the coffers of the college, they might stand to lose quite a bit of money if that money dries up from alumni.

Why in the world would that site need donations just to collect names on a petition, this is the first thing I noticed...
