My alternative, let AIG and C go bankrupt, their business would surely get picked up by other companies. Sure, temporary hardship but it wouldnt be the first time it happened.
As for your f*ck ourself statement, thats exactly what they are doing, or more correctly, doing to our children by increasing the debt and deficit to the point that it can not be paid back.
Do you really think that letting C and AIG go bankrupt wouldnt be cheaper than the trillions being spent to bail them out, let alone the tens of trillions we'll need to pay back due to compounded interest? Please, where did you learn accounting?
You stand here and righfully so, criticize Bush for bailing out the banks, where you lose all credibility is defending Obama for doing the EXACT same thing..
The problem that got us here is that we allowed business to do what it wanted. The fundamental structure of doing business in this country is wrong. There's no accountability, no ethical guidance. As for Obama: there's been no alternative offered to restructuring the way we do business. Bankruptcy may be cheaper in the short-term, but not in the long-term. I teach at a business school and, believe me, they are talking about nothing BUT this.
Got an alternative? YOUR party has NOTHING to offer. NOTHING. THEIR solution is to give more money to the rich, and let the rest of America go up in flames. Republicans don't deserve to be Americans. People who dismiss "social justice" don't deserve to be Americans.
