All government panels should be screened for superfluity.

Can't be too careful.

Can, too.

It's carefulness that's got us into this pickle we're in. Everybody was worried about peanut butter allergies and whether their current belief system made their butt look fat.

Now look where we are. Debating the efficacy of whether it's worth while asking teenagers if they're like in a bad mood.

Please. What's next? Blaming the President for the dead fish?

Or has that been done to death....

It does have a certain ring.

I hasten to add that I feel the same way about beryl, bituminous, and anthracite.

Sometimes I think I may have a lapidary fixation -- which is appropriate, given that my generation is often described as a group of aging rockers.

interestingly, "bituminous" and "anthracite" *do* make your butt look fat... but "ruby," "emerald," and "diamond" make your butt look just right!

IMO, psychiatry in the USA is a joke. Label everyone, make everyone a god-damn pill popper for life, lining the pockets of the pharmaceuticals and insurance companies. What happened to just being "human"? Sadness is just an emotion, as is being a teenager and experiencing the up/down emotions that come with growing up and becoming an adult.

Of course, there are exceptions to the rule and people who are genuinely mentally ill and need help, but if the "powers" had their way, 90% of the population would be popping pills, whether it be for depression or not being able to get a friggin' erection.
