Two things.

1) The victims are black and nobody will care until ten years from now when a talented black actor will have a chance to shine when he plays someone trying to flee from the atrocities. Everyone will talk about what a tragedy the events portrayed in the film were and completely ignore another African genocide which will be taking place around 2018.

2) The people committing the genocide aren't Jews. You see, the only people who can commit genocide post-1945 are Jews, even if they aren't killing enough people to actually be considered genocide nor taking other actions that are normally related to ethnically and racially motivated mass murder, only Jews are capable of evil in the modern world. Arabs are victims, except when they are friendly to the US government, but otherwise Arabs exist only as victims and the idea that they are capable of committing acts of evils that exceed Israel and US is unthinkable.
