socialism is idiolgcal heroin. it never delievers like it does the first time. it actually becomes a cancer, continually feeding on it's self.the shear size and scope the supply side logistics required to operate means that it has to engulf everything and everyone in it's path. the theory is nice as long as everyone agrees to the same set of rules , but what happens when someone doesn't want to play. how do you handle the equal work, equal reward issue . the largest roadblock is the whole morality thing, because socialist aren't moral people. i dont feel the need to have my government tell me how to be charitable to my fellow man , or to explain the differnces between right and wrong. or to tell me when ive made to much money. i can decide these issues my self.

socialist aren't moral people.
This is an important key, at the heart of it all. Socialism has no heart.

I never thought I would ever see the United States get to the place where someone would be so stupid as to actually say they wanted socialism. Has our country become brain dead?

Yep, I'm astounded how many people willingingly want to surrender up freedoms in exchange for the same old lies.

A good quote:
Quote:
"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."

Bigjon- what reason do I have to hate anyone unless they intend harm? I gave you my ear, told you the lack of connect was logic, then you go pout in a corner like a child. I'm not willing to be emotionally manipulated tyvm. Tell the truth I'll listen. Give the evidence, I'll read it. Pointing out irrational statements is not a personal attack or insult. It means explain yourself logically. I'll assume you're savvy enough to know that media has the ability, if you're not careful, to warp your perspective. Some are addicted to the warping IMO. That is true of BOTH sides, and I know it because I stand between you BOTH and get pot shots taken at myself regularly. We clear yet?

This thread wasn't about surrendering anything. It was about the twisted phobic nonsense going on in the minds of a certain political bent party. The boogie man is everywhere a human being tries to garner power over others for personal gain. That happens in every known system. That is what you need to guard against, especially your individual habits of doing unto others before they do unto you. Somehow you can't see yourselves in that light, which makes it that much more insidious.

Socialism as a governance system doesn't work for me. I'm not willing to part with my constitution no matter what world order anyone has in mind. The answer is no.

Socialized medicine is what's already happening, only piece meal, scattered, abusive to many, guaranteeing only wealthy may be healthy. Social darwinism-- only wealthy may be healthy... the difference between wealthy and not isn't anything more than the higher talent for exploitation. That's what gets rewarded most in our corporate system of governance. Corporatocracy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia That's not capitalism, nor is it democracy, nor is it in service to the republic. So what is this phobic anti socialist anti communist political party really offering me if they already told me I can't be 100% rewarded for the true value of my work because a mega corporation bought it's own legislation herding me into their pocket?

Working 40hrs a week doing whatever, there really is no excuse why an affordable comprehensive healthcare insurance isn't available. They never run out of excuses, or lawyers, or corporate bureacrats to invent ways to obsolve themselves of contractual obligations. We could always let them push it so far before ordinary people start going full blown postal on them, or deal with their greed head on, because that really is what's going on. Stop defending criminals as if it were your party line. It's getting ridiculous.

You don't seem to have any position. You speak of capitalism as being evil. You say communism isn't your thing. I would assume you are somewhere in the middle. Let's just say socialism. Yet earlier you complained because the power isn't in the hands of the people. It doesn't sound like you are for anything, therefore it seemed to me you don't like establishments. It's not a wild assumption if you'll go back over your post.

Point taken. You articulate well and sometimes pretty scathing. Probably my false perception or prejudgments again.

How would you define an "establishment"? I am against government which has no fear of reprisal or repremand outside of not winning an election 6 years later. Im also against the private ownership of means of production, which given its own devises, ALWAYS creates a slave class.
