Transitional Economic Advisory Board:
ERIC E. SCHMIDT Chairman and chief executive, Google.
RICHARD D. PARSONS Chairman of Time Warner; former banker.

The White House - Press Office - Obama Announces Economic Advisory Board
Jeffrey R. Immelt, CEO, GE

GE owns NBC universal. You know google controls what results pop up and what results don't and has tremendous power. Time Warner well... everyone knows what they do.

The "transitional" team changed a bit. I guess you can make of it what ya will. I'm sure some think it's the best idea since sliced bread having the biggest corporations run the white house.

Right on.

You tellum.

Finally I meet some one else who thinks like me. I also see no hope that those criminals in the White House will do anything for us peasants. So I look upon the stars that the next terrorist plane lands right smack in the middle of the whole bunch of politico clowns.. Then we can start over.

I've a feeling that many here are actually praying that something like this happens. It would also make Limbaugh a very happy person, and Cheney will be in heaven (figuratively speaking).

There are divisions just like you would have hard liners even in the neocon factions. However in general all the Taliban factions believe in oppression of women but they did help bring order to some areas and cut down on drug use. Who wants to have a drink if you get 30 lashes... They literally hold them down and when done some even pass out. Eerily similar to slavery in America.

Maybe the tactic will be successful. The mind and unification are two of many of the fronts for effectively implementing a war.

So, you need Big Government to tell you to be aware of suspicious persons or events? Am I to suppose that during those times when Big Government isn't telling you that there should be heightened awareness you would just pass by the guy with the suicide belt strapped to his chest...

I guess they're right, Americans don't get irony.

No. The Government should inform its citizens of credible threats though. Imagine the outrage if an attack occurred and there was no warning by the government.

The ACLU fights its battle using the Freedom of Information Act. Well, consider these government warnings a form of the FOIA.

Ok, let's say the next terrorist attack involves poisoning the drinking water, attacking computer systems, disengaging some sort of bomb, you know, the average terrorist activity. How will you stop that?

People are generally stupid enough to be outraged at anything. But no more than those who don't know that given our ways over last several decades, the threat is more or less permanent. Telling you and me, the color coded threat does nothing to alleviate it. Today's color is orange, tomorrow's, purple... so what?

Fear mongering has to stop, and focus should be on reasonable solutions to address the problem at the core.
