Yeah, that's the most important action to take in DC these days.
It's probably not number 1 on the agenda.
If it were, I'm sure you'd whine about his erroneous priorities.

You could probably write a book on all of the restrictions that can disqualify you from military service (especially health related), yet nobody addresses any of those. Because someone with only one arm is denied entry, are you going to claim the reasoning that 'Americans can't handle it'? What about someone rejected for being a sex offender? What about fat people who are rejected?

In case you did not notice, gays are not banned from the military, they are barred from being 'openly' gay. Although, I will say from experience that it is hard to be openly anything in the military (in the Army anyways), especially during basic training..

If you claim every other military in the world allows gays to join, why not provide some specific examples? Do homosexuals really turn out in droves to join the military?

Homosexual men, and occasional women, have been in every military outfit since armies were invented. Stop worrying about it.

It's kind of hard to carry a 100 pound pack, a 27 pound machine gun...and prance at the same time....

in combat that can get you killed.

even if you say to him nothing will happen, it will still be in his mind, and that is a distraction, and soldiers get kille by distractions.
Well then I guess these little boys need to grow up, get some b**ls & start becoming men, don't ya think?

Barry is too busy? Maybe if he would have taken a moment to ask one of his minions at the every Wednesday night cocktail parties, he could have signed it between green beers at one of the two St. Patty's day party.

Also, if it's such a distraction, then how is it that almost every military in the modern world is able to handle openly gay people, but the U.S. cannot?

It comes down to conduct. That's all that matters.

when there is a dont ask dont tell policy you are correct, but if telling everyone you are gay, it is totally different.

Same thing could be said about Jews or any other small minority. Maybe they should be banned too.

Why are we worrying about homosexuals when we have a war with the Mexican drug cartels to our southern border, Iran building nuclear weapons, and the violence that we've got here in the states? Homosexuals are homosexuals, but I don't see where it's any of the government's business to know who a person sleeps with in bed. A homosexual could simply lie to get into the military, and if the other men and women in the armed forces are that offensive toward homosexuals, maybe they should have a ban on discussing sexual orientation, period. If it's seriously that big of an issue, of course it's not, but I guess they just want to keep wasting our hard-earned money on stupid things like this.
