"A 63-year-old attorney based in Lafayette, La., who asked not to be named, told ABCNews.com that she plans to cut back on her business to get her annual income under the quarter million mark should the Obama tax plan be passed by Congress and become law.
"We are going to try to figure out how to make our income $249,999.00," she said."

"Why kill yourself working if you're going to give it all away to people who aren't working as hard?"

This is nothing new. Millionaires have been finding ways of getting out of paying their fair share of taxes for decades.
As far as working hard, most millionaires don't.
Other people work hard for them. The millionaires just sit back and count the money other people make for them.

They'd rather pay an attorney than their fair share.
I never understood that philosophy.
They make their money in this country, what's the problem with paying their fair share?

These are the people you right wingers have been trained to defend. "Obama is a confiscatory communist," etc. They've got you spending your energy to protect their money! Good doggies....

chielgirl, I agree, it is funny that they'll spend more money on lawyers, accountants, etc. than they'd pay in taxes.... "it's the principle of the thing".

VFTP - The Irish economy, built on finance, not manufacturing, has tanked even further than ours. Businesses have collapsed and unemployment is through the roof.

This has to be one of the most idiot things I've ever read. I suspect that this unnamed attorney doesn't even make over 250K.

Either you don't know sh** or you don't know any millionaires.

And like another poster said, since when does $250k qualify you to be a millionaire?

And you don't think forking over 35% of your income is a 'fair share'? Get a clue and then a life.
