I'm sure that she and the President were given protocol lessons before the meeting ... a fellow in the palace runs down the rules before you meet her as part of protocol. Michelle just slipped up out of habit. Pomp and circumstance is the Queen's life. She let protocol slide ONCE and will never do it again.

The fact is that they only said that it wasn't a breach of protocol because they like the Obamas. It was a breach of protocol in truth and anyone that has a brain knows it. I remember when all hell broke loose because a black lady in our country hugged the Queen. You can believe what you want but all you prove is that the liberal media is willing to spin anything for the Obamas.

Protocol is what her Majesty determines to be right and proper. Her Majesty has deemed Mrs. Obama's touch to have not broken Her Majesty's protocol, hence, anyone with a brain would note that there was no breach. End of a really stupid line of discussion.

I wish you all who froth at the mouth to criticize these beautiful black folks running your world would read posts rather than blathering your profound and vast lack of knowledge of the British crown ... or of the economy or of health care or of.... pretty much you're always proven wrong for some reason:

(CNN) - First lady Michelle Obama did not breach protocol by touching Queen Elizabeth II at a reception for world leaders attending the G-20 summit, Buckingham Palace told CNN Thursday.

"It was a mutual and spontaneous display of affection and appreciation between the Queen and Michelle Obama," the Royal Press Office said in a statement Thursday. "The London Summit reception at Buckingham Palace was an informal occasion," the statement also said.

No breach of protocol occurred, according to the Royal Press Office, because Buckingham Palace does not issue instructions about how to address the Queen.

Protocol is not a matter of law. If Buckingham says Obama didn't break protocol, she didn't. The queen extended an arm. She returned the gesture. According to Buckingham, the meeting was an informal one, so no protocol was breached.

Do you, or anyone else, presume to know more about British Royal protocol than Buckingham Palace? It's a set of arbitrary rules, so their word on the matter is the final one.

Well, did the Queen do what she was supposed to do when she visited the Bill Clinton White House?

Or is that you all just dont care if it differs from your thought process!

It is not just anyone it is the Queen of England she is not just someone.

WOW. Not only do you not realize that Obama WON and is the president, you do not seem to know that WE won the Revolution and she is NOT our Queen. She is just an elderly woman in the U.K. who lives on the charity of the British people. In other words....she is just someone living in public housing in the U.K. Michelle is OUR First Lady and the one who deserves OUR respect.

meeechelle and obama are just two joe blows from the street that have done nothing to earn anyones respect. He may be the president in title, but it stops there. And, since you say The Queen is living in public housing, I guess you could say obama and meeechelle are as well ,as the taxpayers own the White House.
