crass (krās) Pronunciation Key
adj. crass·er, crass·est
So crude and unrefined as to be lacking in discrimination and sensibility.
Her comment was appropriate being she was talking about the Obama's and their lack of refinement.
What was that comment Obama said about Palin????? You can put lip stick on a pig, but it's still a pig? Hmmm Sounds like that fits the bill here with Michelle.
Why? Because she hugged the Queen back?
Obama didnt say "lipstick on a pig" about Palin, btw.
What I meant is that you need to learn to use the dictionary. There was nothing wrong with the way I said it. The It's was an understood left out word. I see many mistakes on these threads, but I don't usually stoop to the level of correcting another poster. If you don't like the words I use, ignore my post, but you don't have the right to start telling me what words I should use. If a person has a life of their own, they don't need to try to control the life of someone else.
On the other hand, Michelle Obama is representing the United States of America and we have every right to ask that she do it with dignity. So why don't we all stick to the subject and stop trying to draw attention away from the subject with attacks on others. I guess I hit a nerve. Becoming the first lady does not give one class. And yes, I have been a little troubled about the way Michelle Obama acts since she was so rude to the little black cheerleaders when she visited Charlotte. They went to a lot of trouble to honor her and she brushed them off, according to a friend that saw it.
A truly classy person would have at least taken a moment to smile at them and
acknowledge their efforts.
It's the obsession with what's "classy" - itself a most unclassy word - and what's not that cracks me up. Upon which I can't help but remark.
Good grammar is always "classy."
Im not trying to draw attention away from the subject - the Queen put her arm around Michelle. That's fine by me. It seems to give you the willies, though.
What else did your friend who saw Michelle be rude have to tell you? Are the cheerleaders themselves on record about Michelle's visit?
P.S. Please send me another hateful rep! They're classy!

Reason: need another of the famous "reps"
...ummm I don't hate them, I despise marxist socialist heavy handed government intrusion. Somthing that appears on the horizon in his presidency.
True.. it appears on the horizon every time he will have to deal with North Korea... that gosh darn marxist socialist heavy handed government trying to intrude on South Korea..
I despite that kind of government as well. Glad it will never happen here.

Just because people choose to ignore the rude behavior of others, does not mean the behavior did not happen and that the person needs to change their behavior.
You asked and I am going to tell you. She said that Michelle ignored the little girls and frowned at them like they were irritating her by being there. She said she than preceded to read rather than give the speech and then left in a hurry hardly speaking to anybody.
Little girls who love a person are not going to go on record as having been mistreated. I told you a friend told me about going to the campaign speech that turned out to be a campaign read.
Things don't have to be in the newspaper to be fact. A lot of the "facts" in the newspaper are not true. My friends don't lie to me and you can doubt what I say as much as you want, but truth is truth whether you believe it or not.

My friend told me Manhattan Island was up for sale again - it must be true
