Get your facts straight, and I'll give the thread a look later.
Thought it was clear
right side exagerated and said $6Billion, left side used last years budget for corporation of $100 million, without including the subsidiary companies (as if $100,000,000 is small), when in reality they are eligable (did not receive) $4.19B per this source http://rightsoup.com/acorn-gets-a-bailout/

I just put it out there for consumption. If you're naive enough to think that ACORN won't recieve any money from Obama in the stimulus, you've clearly bought into the Obamatron-nation.

This: Incredibly, the Democrats’ bill makes groups like ACORN eligible for a $4.19 billion pot of money for “neighborhood stabilization activities.”

does not equate to this: Obama Gives $6 Billion to ACORN

or this: Obama gives x dollars to ACORN

It says ACORN may be eligible for a piece of the pie. When that money has been allocated, then you can come and scream about the amount.

I never said ACORN wouldn't be receiving funds. I said ACORN will not be receiving the sum total of funds allocated for the program, like you did. Big difference.

Thank you for repeatedly lying. There is no $6 billion for ACORN, there is no $2 billion for ACORN, there is nothing for ACORN at all save that contracting officials in one or more of over a thousand state and local agencies through which the appopriated funds might be channelled could choose ACORN as the best and most qualified local supplier of services to be contracted for. What a freaking joke you people are.

As for the $50K in earthquake relief, that is an immediate gift of hard, cold cash from the accounts of the US Embassy in Rome to assist in the funding of rapid-response efforts. The Italian government has already said that it does not need international teams of any sort re this event which only happened last night. Should a formal aid program be necessary and desired, the US is certain to be significantly involved in it.

Since when are we responsible for other countries' national disasters? The EU and the Italian government have plenty of euros to fix their own problems. Stop bashing Obama, haters!

the global poverty act? obama couldn't wait to sign that one. we shouldn't be responsible for giving a single dime to anyone overseas. screw africa, and other 3rd world places. they just use the money we give them against their own people. the money never hits the target.

Gee, delusianne...the very idea that an American president would be in favor of allocating funds for worthless causes like this is unthinkable!
And had the numbers been reversed, the same RWs would be screaming
that we need that money here first! Then too, there's the whole issue of
the thread topic being based on a....distortion of the facts.
