I don't remember Glen Beck and his fans being worried about the violation of rights by G.W. Bush. The patriot act for example. They had no problems with wiretapping all US citizens phones and e-mails. They had no problem with FBI collecting mountains of data about every citizen. They had no problems with unwarranted arrests. Not at all. But they have serious problems with rights that might be taken away by Obama one day. Might be...

Dukester, what does your title mean? The Senate should not listen to Beck, or what? Maybe you need to look around and see that the House of Reps has to be represented before the Congress (both houses) can outlaw Beck and others like him that you list so often.

The OP for this thread, Dukester, has already indicated that he believes anything that comes from CAP and any other site that has Progressive in its name. Well of course CAP was created for the same purpose that Media Matters, another of his favorite sites was and sure enough Glenn Beck is scary to those people because he is against them.

Good post, Laura.
Is Beck still on suicide watch, just wondering..

Were you one of those who was wiretapped? I wasn't and know you weren't either unless there is reason to suspect you of consorting with terrorists.

Do you think the FBI included you in that mountain of data? Surely you don't since you don't sound like a terrorist sympathizer. I know your problem is Bush hate and left leaning.

You don't see that the things you said really happened to you and me didn't just like those things you say may well happen under Obama and Nasty Nancy and Dirty Harry. Could be.

1) Both you and I were included in the data collection effort. The amount of data which was collected is staggering (i.e. billions of conversations and messages).
2) If FBI would ask, I may give them a free pass (have nothing to hide, actually its quite boring).
3) I am independent, neither democrat nor republican. Yes, I think that G.W. Bush was a bad president, not so much for what he did (tapping), but for always hiding it from Americans and for the constant state of secrecy which shrouded every decision and move of his administration.
4) This thread is about Glen Beck and rights violations, not G.W. Bush. Some people are concerned that the current administration may violate their rights one day. All I said is that they weren't equally concerned about violation of rights in the past, when they happened.
5) I am also not big fan of Obama, but I would wait and see what rights is he actually taking away from us before I scream. The same with his economic plan. Yes, I am very concerned with the huge deficit, but I would wait at least to the end of year before I declare his economic plan a success or total disaster.

This thread is a textbook example of the lefts operations manual, isolate the opponent, marginalize the opponent, destroy the opponent. The odd thing is they are doing for someone who has sold them out. He is bailing out Wall Street and selling out Detroit. Who goes bankrupt first AIG or GM? Useful idiots.

One thing is for certain is this, the Right has no shortage or hacks and shills.
Dear Lord, if there existed a Hypocrisy Olympics you'd be the next Michael Phelps.

The qualifications for "wingnut hero" these days seem to include avoiding military service, substance abuse, and a strong appeal to ignorance.
Sounds a lot like Obama.

I find it rather odd that people that screamed "free speech" for the last 4 decades, now try to quash any dissenting opinion and the government they all professed to hate and marched against, is now their best friend.

Q: You know what they call people who watch Fox News and despise it?
A: Viewers.
excellent post and excellent points.

dukie couldn't manage to refute a single one of them, but immediately began shrieking about bush, limbaugh, and palin instead.

some things never change, i suppose.

There's nothing to refute, what are you talking about? Once you CONservatives can turn to a credible new source other FAUX NEWS than maybe, just maybe you might have some credibility. You and your party are so one dimensional.
