You forgot Cheney... ooh wait.. That was Obama... I get so confused with Obama being just like Bush with his actions.. If I didnt have to hear Obama speaches daily I would still swear that Bush was running things..
Massive spending, bailing out bankers, tax cuts, sending troops to Afganistan..
The purpose of the stimulus is to restart the economy again, by creating jobs which will put people back to work.
Even though a bridge across a highway in Redmond, WA doesn't sound desirable to the rest of the country, for that particular area of Redmond, it sounds like it might be very useful.
Microsoft is paying for 25 million of the 36 million cost, so it's not like they are getting the bridge completely for free.
The bridge will also be used by other area businesses, so it's not completely for Microsoft.
I see no problem in creating projects like this which put people back to work ... even if they are just temporary assignments.
I'm sure there are plenty of unemployed construction workers who will be extremely happy to work on this bridge.

I want to buy a new car, dont worry, I'm willing to pay half of it, think the government will pickup the tab for the other 1/2? After all, it will create a salespersons job, trucking job to bring me the car, and a manufacturing job.. Yeah they are all temporary jobs but that doesnt matter..
Had Bush proposed this it would have been viewed as him bailing out rich Billionaire investor Gates.. But thats ok, this is Obama. I wonder what candidate Gates donated money to...

Umm, right or wrong isn't that exactly what is happening? Obama is being slammed for this. You point does not make a lick of sense.
And I still don't see what you buying a car has to do with creating 400 jobs even on a temporary basis. I mean all jobs have the potential to be temporary, noones job is guaranteed forever.
I guess that means Bill Gates is in jeapordy of losing his job.
