It is freedom of speech. We may not like what is said but the ability to say it is inherently American. And yes. Both those men, presumably American citizens, are free to have their opinions.

What happens if you go to a movie theater and yell fire? Are you not creating fear? What happens if there are say 6 or 12 people who get trampled to death because of your misdeeds? What happens? Should you not be held accountable? There is a threshold that you cross where it is no longer consider and should be consider free speech. This is just one scenario of many...

Beck sure seems to have hate for the Amercian government from what I hear....I don't watch his show. The ignorant Rev just had hate for white America (he was a big racist). Both should enjoy the same freedom of speech, though I don't agree with either.

Yelling fire creates an immediate need for action that would be recognized by any reasonable person who heard it What specifically did Beck say that would make anyone who heard it recognize that they needed to act immediately? My thought is nothing since there isn't widespread action along the lines of what you hold him responsible for being taken based on his statement.

And what about the 6 or 12 people who were trampled to death, just curious? You don't see the Wackjob Bachmann calling for arms in the name of sort of a revolt rather dangerous? She is creating an atmosphere for violence.
Seems to me Obama's good Rev Wright screaming "God D*mn America" was trying to promote violence as well. Obama sat and listened to the Rev Wrights hate. I don't listen to Beck, but can you explain the difference between him spewing and those of Obama's mentor Rev Wright spewing?

Considering when Rev. Wright grew up, in a profoundly cruel and racist America, he had every right to say "God D*mn America." Glenn Beck is just a crafty little moron, fomenting rage among the Republican "base" in order to make himself a millionaire. What a bunch of tools his followers are.
