If I were to go to a teabag party, it would be to document just how crazy and desperate the President Obama haters have become.....this is a coaliton of assault weapon fanatics, racist, survivalist, anti-America, abstinance only, no-choice except for me and my daughters, anarchist fringe groups. They are composed of folks like the "facist" "socialist" "He's an ARAB" chanting mobs that attended Sarah Palin and John McCain rallies. They are on the brink of violence and Fox and the oppurtunistic Republican politicians should think twice before inciting them to violence......these are the same type of folks that led to the Oklahoma City Bombing; one of them is apt to end up commiting a crime against America.

It is pathetic that this is what is left of the Republican base.....the party of Reagan, Dirkson, Burke and Taft. It has been a long way down.

While I do agree that some of these people are extreme neo-cons, I do have to say that I was working in Manhattan during the RNC in 2004, and talk about some really scary people that were protesting on a daily basis.

You want to protest? Be my guest. You want to be heard? I am all for freedom of your speech, but if you are going to disrupt my life or try to force your beliefs down my throat, I will come back on you. Just like some tea party members, some anti-Bush protesters got a little out of control in 04. One group of these protesters had a "die in" near the entrance to the PATH train at the World Trade Center, and as I was walking to get on the train back to Jersey, some guy laying on the ground grabbed my ankle, so I stomped on his hand and absolutely broke something - and it was well deserved, but other than that, I found no problems with most of these people trying to make a point.

My big problem is how Anderson Cooper, Matthews, Olbermann, Susan Roesgen, and others basically just called these protesters redneck idiots that love guns, God, NASCAR, and their mammy and pappy. Wrong, ladies and gentlemen. These people are seeing these massive bailouts and are sickened on how the government (from Bush to Obama) is just giving away the farm.

I guess the media lost their biggest punching bag (Bush, and deservedly so) so now they must criticize anyone and anything that questions Obama and his legion of goons. He is far from perfect, he has some terrible ideas, and the drunken spending torch was kept lit when it was passed on from Bush.

My wish is that voters would smarten up and actually see what their candidate is all about before pulling the lever. Look at his/her history, look at the agenda, look at the big plan! Don't just vote because the putz had a D or an R after their name. THINK! For Christ sakes, think!

Shame on the Democrats for mocking a protest, and shame on the Republicans for actually sending politicians to some of these tea parties and act like this was their brilliant idea.

voters are getting smarter and that is how this movement started. we are saying no to the federal government pushing us around, spending our money, and refusing to listen to what we have to say as citizens. we are now trillions of dollars in debt with no economic recovery in sight. look at the jobless rate and it is still going up after billions spent. look at foreclosures and they are still going up after billions spent. we have no accountability from our representatives, although they regularly vote themselves pay raises while people are getting laid off. we don't have to put up with it!

Our government is trying to stave off an economic calamity; it will take some time; things are really in dire straights. To do nothing isnt the option that most Americans voted for. This is not the time for "small government". The Obama tax cuts will provide some relief. Hopefully the recovery program will be enough to save our country.

The tea baggers are surely having a wonderful time acting irresponsibly and attempting to kick the country off the edge. It is a blessing that they are so unorganized and fractured ..... right now its the cold clay handed gun lobby putting up with the abstinance only religous zealots and the "my marriage isnt all that strong...dont mess with the definition" faction and the zanies in Uncle Sam costumes--they don't represent a real threat, and they have very little in common.

Boy oh boy are the republicans really showing themselves as hypocrites.....You see how these so-called gatherings are shown on fakenews as a true movement against Big Government and Anti-Obama...They surely have a short memory because aren't these the same people who lambasted Obama's rally's back in the run-up to his election saying 'oh the people attending his rally's are crazy and are cult-like'. I would reason that these tea parties are an incredible waste of time and energy....No wonder only the right wing 'shows/network' used air-time to cover this crap. The hypocrisy is sickening...

You aren't? I don't see much action being done in America beyond twiddling thumbs and shaking fists.

No I wouldn't intend on attending, even though I support aggressive tax cuts of 80% across all income groups and eliminating all corporate taxes to be accompanied by a 90% reduction in government spending. My reason because this is just a group of Republicans who aren't opposed to government spending at all, but just don't like the way the democrats are spending the money.
To me Republicans and democrats are all the same, they both covet my wallet all too often.

I'll attend any taxation is theft protests that occur though.

I've always wondered why both welfare and military adventurous types are too afraid just to come over to my house and ask me for 30% of my gross income instead of using the governments jack boot thugs to do their dirty work.
