yea so what? What are you going to do about it? That's the beauty of the US of A. You get to say what you want and make a bundle doing it........
Is that really the beauty of the USA? Beck is not a conservative... he has absolutely no investment in advancing the conservative cause (many of which are laudable)... he has conciously chosen (as an entertainer) to appeal to those in society that feel disenfranchised for whatever reason and, instead of articulating the reasons and solutions, he is enhancing the alienation and paranoia through grade-school level conspiracy theories. He is the flip side of Rev. Wright claiming that the government invented AIDS to kill Black people. The right howls at that notion and calls Wright nuts but it's fine to state that our government is fascist, is running re-education and extermination camps and is conspiring with China to have a one-world currency? Again, the incoherence of the Republican party is leading to its downfall...
"What Fox News is now programming on a daily (unhinged) basis is unprecedented in the history of American television, especially in the form of Beck's program. Night after night, week after week, Beck rails against the president while denouncing him or his actions, alternately, as Marxist, socialist, or fascist. He felt entirely comfortable pondering whether the federal government, under the auspices of FEMA, was building concentration camps to round up Americans in order to institute totalitarian rule. (It wasn't until this week that Beck was finally able to "debunk" the FEMA conspiracy theory.) And that's when Beck wasn't gaming out bloody scenarios for the coming civil war against Obama-led tyranny. In just a few shorts months, Beck raced to the head of Fox News' militia media movement."
Beck is a mentally defective, shameless, hatemonger.
But he is what he is. And Fox makes money from his insane rantings. So, they'll continue to air his psychotic episodes as long as they can gather an audience.
Americans should "just say no" to Beck and his divisive tantrums.
It's clear that the libs think Sarah Palin is important enough (threatening enough?) to continue to focus on her and to try to debunk her whenever they think they can. If she wasn't a serious threat, they'd have forgotten about her by now. I might not totally like everything about Sarah but, then, I don't *totally* like everything about anybody (unlike those who goosh over Obama who like *everything* about him), but I do think she's a serious contender in the future, and has it on the ball, and can take all the mud that people throw at her.
Unbelievable what some people are willing to say and do when they're hiding behind a computer screen and a fake onscreen name. Where is YOUR integrity and character? (oops, sorry...the lack of it is showing).
No, this is what you wish were true. There's a difference.
Again and for about the thirtieth time - SP comes out with some new stupid, trashy ridiculosity every couple of weeks. It's always worth laughing at and commenting on. That's all she's good for, believe me. No one is threatened by her. Appalled and embarrassed by her and the sudden horrid visibility of her fan base, yes, when she was a candidate.
That whole "threatened by her" right wing meme - oh, you wish. It's like a girl in school telling herself that the boy who is mean to her does it because he secretly likes her. Um.... no.
I absolutely agree. My gripe with some is a superior attitude that people can't read all sorts of things and eveluate the validity of the sources on their own. The thinking of some is that most people are stupid and easily manipulated and their evidence for this opinion is that some people have different ideas from them.
I haven't run into that, but I'll keep an eye out for it. Bach, Newton, many of the greatest minds had exactly the attitude you describe. It would tend to go right past me without me noticing.

Come on if you were offended by people saying stupid things we would never leave the topic of Joe Biden. Be honest you don't like Sarah Palin and the partyis threatened by her. You don't hear Republicans going on about Biden with the intensity or frequecy that Dems go after Palin. It is to the Republicans advantage to let Joe talk, the more he speaks the more damage he does. It's great!
The more I read this thread (and others like it) with all this fuss about Glenn Beck, the more I'm beginning to think I hit the nail on the head with my last post on this thread (it's on page 6). The only people that seem to be going crazy over Beck are the liberals....if there's any hysteria (which there isn't any way) they're the ones creating it with all the reporting they're doing about FOX and Beck. I'm truly starting to think that it's all about ratings....as I mentioned before, Beck was at CNN for 2 1/2 years, when they pulled his program off the air in 10/2008 (on the exact same day it was announced that he was going to FOX), he had the second largest viewing audience at CNN (only Nancy Grace was higher). He's only been on the air at FOX since 1/19/2009 (less than 3 months) and the liberal media has turned him into the poster boy for FOX.
He hasn't changed, he just changed jobs, which means he also changed networks. The way I see it, CNN and all it's affiliates are behind all this fuss over Beck....they don't want people tuning into FOX to watch him so, now they're putting a label on him in the worst way they can come up with. It doesn't take much for them to do that either and before you know it, everyone from the far left is repeating the same thing they heard about (in this case) Beck all over the Internet, in every blog and forum.
In case you didn't read my last post on this thread, here's how CNN described Beck on his web page before he left:
"Glenn Beck" is an unconventional look at the news of the day featuring Beck's unique and often amusing perspective on top stories from world events and politics to pop culture and everyday hassles. Like Beck's radio program, the show will be centered on current events and the opinions of Beck, all delivered in Beck's humorous, self-deprecating style.
How in the world can he go from that, to the way some are describing him on this thread.....he didn't, the only thing that changed was the network his program airs on now (along with him being associated with FOX more this past week than O'Reilly and/or Hannity have....lol.......how is that possible....lol). Remember he was at CNN for 2 1/2 years and aired 3 times a day there in the evening...7, 9 and at midnight. This is about ratings and money and a lot of people are just sucking the B.S. they're spewing out.
I'm an independent and I don't support any one news program or network. I watch all of them to try and figure out where the truth lies....that's the only way you'll get the whole story.....and you can't listen to what one says about another or what they say they're reporting, that's not the same as listening/watching/reading for your self.

It would be quite a steretch even for a diehard wingnut to consider that Poplawski kook in Pittsburg who killed three cops a "liberal." ...
Now we find out that Poplawski actually posted Glenn Beck's insane FEMA concentration camp segment to a neo-Nazi website.
It appears that what police may be looking at is a budding white supremacist who frequented one of the most popular neo-Nazi websites and harbored an apocalyptic dread of the federal government.
I haven't run into that, but I'll keep an eye out for it. Bach, Newton, many of the greatest minds had exactly the attitude you describe. It would tend to go right past me without me noticing.
My guess is the next Bach or Newton is not on this forum.

No, this guy is the one who was "going crazy over Beck." And he's one of yours, pal.
Or alternately it was Glen Beck that influenced him not the Neo-Nazi website.
