And if we do start seeing bumpersticker like that then I'll just have to find someone to make one for me that says "Shoot the Bush's, they started the whole mess".
You're right about taxes, they will always be there.

I don't smoke either, but I speak out against almost all new taxes, even if they don't affect me.

I'm not Bush's biggest fan by any means, but continuing to blame everything on him is not the strategy to move forward IMO. Yes, he did screw a lot of things up. Yes, Obama will need time to fix it (if he can with his policies, which is yet to be seen). Barney Frank and the Fed are just as much to blame as Bush is for the economy (the war is a different story).

If Obama doesn't have us on a path towards SUSTAINABLE growth in four years, will it still be Bush's fault? In my humble opinion, the country is in this current mess because of the failures and lack of accountability of BOTH parties. The war is completely Bush's fault, but Obama is asking for more money to continue it.

It's time we start holding our elected officials accountable. This post isn't meant to be an attack on you personally Seabee, it's just how I feel. You can keep blaming the current situation on Bush but I don't feel that's the country's best strategy moving forward.

Side note: Fiscal conservative, socially liberal, pretty libertarian by most definitions. Not a big fan of either party at this point!

I'd never take that as a personal attack on me . Your right about one thing, our political leaders do need to be held accoutable for thier failiers and the damage they're done to our country .

I just hate Bush and his family with all that I can muster, thats all . He and his wife are total idiots. Chaney was the devil behind all that he did, bush was just a puppet.

are we about to see any "impeach obama" bumper stickers in the near future?
Well, nobody wanted to believe that this guy is a radical leftist. Even my sister (who claims to be a Christian) voted for this idiot.

I support Obama in every way and his lovely wife and family.

I also own a house, retired military, drive dump trucks, own a business and all that with a GED and before I turned 45 . Wow, and just think, I could have had a college degree and be sitting in the unemployment line with thousands of other college grads .

Give the man some time to show us what he's made of.

I understand why people voted for him. because mccain was not a better option. I am a super small government guy, so basically don't think that we've had a good president since coolidge. it's usually just a matter of who can screw up the least.

Good for you and of course a college degree proves nothing at all.

We have given the man time and so far he has shown us that he thinks more of Europe than us, that he was willing to bow to a Saudi king, that he was more than willing to spend money he and we don't have for a faulty banking system and etc.
