Here we go again with the victimization meme... it's clear she's referring to an assault weapons ban... not guns normally used for hunting or self-defense. Most Americans support that. Most Americans also support registration of the guns you buy. How does it make sense that you have to register and get a background check if you buy a gun from a gun shop but you need nothing to buy a gun from a gun show? The NRA can get up in arms about this but they are on the wrong side of the American people on this issue.
Convicted felons cannot be required to register their guns because that would force them to confess to the crime of illegally owning a gun.
Please don't play a lawyer online. That is absolutely false. Sometimes you should just sit back and think as to whether an argument at least passes the smell test. That's like saying an individual who failed to pay taxes for 5 years cannot be made to file for back taxes because that would be tantamount to admitting to the crime of tax evasion. 1st you and the rest of the liberal party have to start telling the truth and explain to the people what a assault weapon is before you start stealing fundemental constitutional rights away from the people.

Ok... the country was up in arms when it was passed the first time, correct? If there was abuse in the listing of the weapons that were banned, that's a separate issue that should be addressed. Otherwise, every poll shows that Americans favor an assault weapons ban.
