No. State and local governments have a right to enact (and enforce) their own laws to deal with illegal immigration as well.

They may need the basics of care (schooling, medical treatment, housing, etc.) so the point is, don't provide it and they will go home. Impose huge fines on those who are hiring them, renting to them, etc. They will be forced to self-deport.

Texas provides schooling but not housing and generally does not provide medical treatment to them and things are certainly not "chaos and a danger to others" here.

They need to be sent HOME. Period.

This rasmussen survey just completed says 75% of Texans don't want to secede. 31% say TX has the right, 18% want to leave.

what are you trying to say? Idaho isn't coming out with outlandish claims of seperating from the union... Only a place like texas would think so highly of itself... so I say... have at it.... bye bye
Actually Idaho is making noises about state sovereignty....

Having pride in one's state is important unless you live in a ****ty state I've always admired that about Texans but not when it comes to doing stupid things [ie. fighting for "creationism" in public schools]. Unfortunately, Texas has the reputation of being a "cowboy" state of John Wayne's bravery but Bush's idiocy It's true.

As far as the portion of your post regarding Dallas officials, I'm not even going to begin to touch on it.

No, the truly wealthy live in Dallas, not the suburbs where incomes may be moderately high but they spend all their money on showing-off. The Preston Hollow area is more wealthy than the Park Cities - which are also in 'the inner city'. Oak Lawn/Turtle Creek/Uptown with Ritz Carlton and other high rise condos are very wealthy and my area, Lakewood in East Dallas, is known for its old money.
Best-known examples are the H.L. Hunt estate on White Rock Lake and Stanley Marcus home on Nonesuch. H.L. Hunt was the richest man in the world when he died and Stanley Marcus, who wrote "Quest for the Best" was head of Neiman-Marcus.

Dallas does have some slum areas but a lot of the older inner-ring suburbs have them too. Even the white-flight haven of the 1970s and 80s and proto-typical suburb Plano is now majority - minority in its school system.

In Arizona, we are attacking the Illegal Immigration problem on multiple fronts - and other states are now following our lead:

1) Employer Sanction Law: We are going after the business license of any employer who knowingly hires illegal immigrants

2) No state funded welfare of any kind: No education, housing, health care (except in cases of life threatening issues), no food, NADA benefits to those here illegally

3) Local law enforcement who are sworn federal officers are inquiring as to residency status during their shifts - illegals are being detained, processed and turned over to ICE and deported.

True as far as Preston Hollow, Oak Lawn, Turtle Creek, Lakewood, etc.

Oak Cliff, however, is still pretty shady, along with many other areas.

The inner-ring suburbs such as Garland, Richardson to a lesser extent, Irving, etc. (and more so the suburbs to the south like Lancaster, DeSoto) do have some poorer sections. The suburbs to the north though, especially in Collin County, are overall far wealthier than the City of Dallas is.

Plano schools may be becoming more minority, but the City of Plano is still predominately white. Even the members of the minority groups there are predominately upper middle class or higher income. They are wealthier Hispanics (but very few black). Plano has a large Asian population as well and Asians are actually overall wealthier than whites.

I was talking to a very close friend, who happens to be Native American. She said she is all for tougher immigration laws and sending people back to their native lands. She just wants to make it effective 1420 AD.
