The whole premise of the Tea Parties is sort of misguided "anger" towards a new administration's yet to be implemented tax policies. The "message" was completely disjointed, if not non-existent.

Where were all of these people when Bush was spending their money on an unwinnable vendetta war and the FIRST BAILOUT? Where was the outrage for that? Obama's proposals haven't even been implemented but the protesters are directly their anger (unfairly) at Obama.

What I found interesting was that the majority of the "protesters" were not people of color. It was fairly obvious that the undercurrent of the "Tea Party" protests were something other than what they were portraying it to be.

Wouldn't it more accurate the call the "Tea Parties" demonstrations as protests against Obama, the Democrats, and liberals?
These will continue so that the white, christian conservatives can vent their hatred and disgust for anyone who isn't exactly like them.

The tea-baggers are here for a while, but won't accomplish anything other than being a side-show for cable news networks to make money off of.

On the positive side, at least it keeps all the Rush listeners together so we can keep an eye on them

An extreme view but the truth lies in there. It is unfortunate because I thought the parties were a start of a populist movement to give America back to us. Instead , as usual, it became a partisan protest. Completely defeating the purpose.

We should be thinking about ways to do this for American civilians and not politicians. Then you are getting somewhere.

The "Tea Parties" are a classic example of disgruntled people being Hoodwinked, Bamboozled and Led Astray by the weakened Republican party, Fox News and the Rush Limbaugh zombies.

I can not take a grown man seriously that would go to something called a tea party.

If they are just about how our taxes are collected as I was basically told on another thread, then they are finished before they start. Most of us don't care about who is charged what. But if it is about how the taxes are spent. This is the beginning of a possible real change in our government. Taxes should not be the redistribution of income. No one should be getting a tax refund if they paid no taxes. Refund means money that you sent the government and some of the money you sent is coming back because you overpaid. If you didn't pay anything, you could not have overpaid. That's crazy.

Congress should go back to the constitutional reason that taxes are collected and not collect for anything else. That would probably lower our taxes by 50%. Tax payers are being abused.

Like compounds of patriotic, god-fearing white guys with guns, stocked up with ammo, Bud Light, and battery operated radios to listen to talk radio?
