Maybe I mis understood. What about him wanting Israel to give back the Gaza Strip. If this was land given to Israel by God how can they give this to the Palestinians? Isn't Carter pushing for this?

Mexico as our 51st state. I think you're on to something, YapCity! Make Mexico our 51st state, so that illegals will be legal and want to stay there. It's all America, right? What do you think? Am I being naive? Disneyland in Mexico...

This is a really controversial subject; perhaps another thread for Carter, Israel and the Palestinians!

But, the short answer is Carter made some remarks in his book that had people up in arms, and I do think trading peace for some of the '67 land was part of the recommendation.

Jeez people, it was just a joke. That's the last time I use Carter for material, lol.

I'm staying out of this I think. The middle-east has the power to bring the ultra-right-wing lunatic out of me sometimes.

He proved twice that the American voters are mostly cowards. They should have voted Libertarian like I did, send a message to the goons in the "democtatic" and republican parties. Can we do this in 2008, or at least stick in a hard-core Republican like Ron Paul?

Ron Paul? I'd rather vote for Hillary.

Hell, I'd rather vote for Newt than vote for an opportunist weasel.

Aside from that, I refuse to vote for any politician who has served Texas constituents, period, end of story. I don't hate Texans, I hate their voting record. My philosophy is if THEY like him, he can't be good
