It is truly insane. They don't even really have the cover of "consensus" anymore. Most people don't believe it and the contradictory evidence is astounding - yet still they persist.

You all realize this is just another way to get your money, another scheme to redistribute the wealth.

Yes, and the whole world is in on it. The Europeans, the Japanese, the Australians--everybody! They're ALL trying to "redistribute the wealth," because global warming is a "scam." There's no "consensus." Blah, blah, blah.

The "contradictory evidence is astounding"??? OMG. Moderator cut: No personal attacks, insults, or flaming please

I'm not surprised. As I explained in the other thread about eco-terrorists and religious right, these fear mongers from both sides and anyone who supports them are despicable. Any cap and trade program is all about control and the benefit of a few politically connected companies.

Waxman maybe the reason then that no cap is passed or that the bill gets passed but no funding as often happens these days.

The Port of Los Angeles is the largest in the nation & spews incredible amount of pollution. The harbor is being forced to clean-up the problem. Waxman represents Los Angeles.

I welcome your attempt to educate the Moderator cut: No personal attacks, insults, or flaming please few on this thread. But there's really not much we can do but essentially go on with business without them. The Republican party's anti-intelligent stance means that negotiation is useless [who believes anything they communicate since it is merely self-serving anti-American religious nonsense]. I view Republicans as children not yet able to graduate from middle school [for the 3rd time

Oh please. I read a lot of the evidence and studies. I always look at everything with an open mind and I would like to see more evidence. I don't allow fear mongers to dictate my beliefs. Waxman says “It’s what the scientists are telling us we must do to avoid a global catastroph." His statement sounds like the crazy Neo-cons and their warnings of muslim terrorists setting off dirty bombs all across the US. Moderator cut: No personal attacks, insults, or flaming please (as in the extremists) are destroying this country.
