Speaking to an affectionate crowd of Log Cabin Republicans on Saturday evening, Meghan McCain ridiculed the party her father headed this past election, declaring that "old school Republicans" were "scared ****less" of the changing landscape.

The Senator's daughter, who has quickly become something of an iconic figure in the gay conservative community since the end of the election, took repeated shots at the GOP for its antiquated mores.
Meghan McCain: "Old School" Republicans Are "Scared ****less"

I have come to respect Meghan McCain young educated peoples like her are the future of the republican party if there is a future. She sounding more and more like a moderate progressive. After all it will be the young republican and the progressive who will lead this country forward .Those career republican /conservatives better take notice of this young lady , i am a liberal to the core but like what Meghan is representing. she is the future .

"Republicans using Twitter and Facebook isn't going to miraculously make people think we're cool again."
Excuse me...but when did anyone think the GOP was cool?

They just went around scaring people into voting for them.
1. never spend less...(look at the deficit under republicans)
2. never get the evangelicals what they want. (they just use them for votes)
3. haven't been very good with national defense..9-11/Iraq/etc etc. ( they talk tough but act stupid)

they should be scared ****less...it's their turn to be scared...

Happ alternatively you can wish the party to get well soon, because they provide a meaningful balance in the grander scheme of the american landscape. I respect traditions, but I don't see the point of holding a gun to someones head to accept democracy. Equal time, getting violent at a peace march doesn't help the cause. Neither side is perfect and don't lose sight of that fact. We've all got to grow here.

She was just republican while her father ran for president. She has gone back to her old ways and by the way her father isn't that conservative.

And, unfortunately for this nation, most of the time it worked.

Yep, the liberalcons will have to keep lying their way around their bs spending, unConstitutional restrictive laws, along with doing everything possible they can think of to destroy what made the USA the best Nation on earth. The liberalcons are so braindead they think the current clown in the Whitehouse is some sort of a messiah!
As for some liberal little silver platter kid running her mouth, who cares!!! Do you really think she has a clue to what life is like for most people? Nope! She thinks the republican party needs to change to what the looney left is. No wonder the looney left media kool aid drinkers thinks she has something to say worth listening to.

I think Meghan McCain represents a minor segment of the Republican party that are sick & tired by what the religious right has done. Eventually these kids leave the GOP [look at Reagan's kids\ Eisenhower's children\grandchildren\ intellectuals like Buckley, etc]. The old fiscal conservatives have no voice among Republicans unless they accept mindless obsessions over gays & teaching Bible stories in public schools
