What does that say about you when you don't want to react and act in a higher standard than the enemy but you want to pretend that you are better. You are showing that you are just as low as the terrorist and as NYer I'm sickened by the fact that you neocons think you are the moral authority on the war on terror when you're nothing but a terrorist yourself.

No, they don't. There have been no "war crimes" committed.

No, it doesn't. And no we can't "perpetrate whatever horrors [we] wish on another human being", nor do we.

So now, according to you, Bush is also responsible for the flood of illegal aliens (Not "immigrants". Immigrants are people who have entered legally)! Never mind that Democrats have blocked every effort to control our borders and even Pelosi has told the illegals that they have "contributed" to our country. Democrats have openly said that it is wrong to keep them out (or send them back). They have blocked the construction of the border fence as well.

Of course, Bush is also responsible for "outsourced American jobs". Outsourced because of the high cost of doing business here (Excessively high union wages and benefits, excessively high capital gains taxes, etc). If we are going to limit what we call excessively high executive pay, then why should shouldn't we limit the excessively high union wages? Wouldn't that be fair? Seems to me that if caps on pay are good for one group, they are also good for another.

Where have environmental protection laws been suspended? Not that I would be opposed to that. We have far to many restrictions on commerce and production in the name of protecting the environment. It, too, has gotten out of control, with ridiculous EPA laws. Another reason why jobs go overseas.

Liberals complain about jobs going overseas, but they are the very ones who have pushed all the legislation and restrictions on business that has been the cause of "outsourcing". Thus, this is their own making, their own "unintended consequence". Can't you figure it out? It's really a no brainer. And Obama's policies will have even more jobs being lost.

As far as the "crashing economy" goes, you haven't seen anything yet. Wait until the full force of the Obama administration policies and out of control spending and taxation is brought to bear on the economy. Then you'll have something to complain about. You'll see the Bush years as utopia.

This OP gives us yet another example of total moronic "non thinK" on the part of a typical liberal. Place blame on everything but the real cause.

California is a perfect example of what out of control liberalism does to an economy, and a society. If we want to know where the nation is headed, look to California. That's where Obama will take us.

If someone in my family was responsible for orchestrating 9/11, I'd probably kill them myself.

What on Earth is wrong with some people that they are unable to distinguish between torture used a last resort to save lives and torture used for power.

We did act in a higher standard. Did you miss the fact that his head is still on his shoulders? Dumb and pathetic!

Because this is the real world, with real people who want to kill us, and the even more important reason is because THE TACTICS WORKED!!!!!

I just watched Michael Hayden on the weekly news shows, and he was very explicit that these techniques were directly responsible for rolling up many of the Al Qaeda operatives, including KSM. On top of that, waterboarding is NOT torture...sorry...it's not. We live in a dangerous world with people who don't follow our rules, and frankly the people who spew this ivory tower academic stuff are naive and out of touch with reality.

The real issue here is why the President made public TOP SECRET documents. He has the authority to declassify them, but the definition of TOP SECRET is any information that if released could be harmful to US national security. I guess the President would rather advance some political agenda than protect the nation.

Maybe that's why he's now so popular with Castro and Chavez? BTW...he didn't apologize enough to them for all of our transgressions. What a load of BS.

How about this: torture used for power, but done in the name of saving lives.

Being that you are such a big fan of torture does that mean that you believe that the US government can torture you if they believe that you are a terrorist?

Its inexcusable, wrong, illegal, etc.

No it doesn't work! The intelligence community has always said it didn't, that's why torture is considered a criminal act.

Maybe the proponents of torture could volunteer for a session to see what they'll say.
