None of those are dire warnings about Obama making the nation less secure.
Of course, Cheney has been dead wrong on everything he's so much as uttered a comment on in connection with the "war on terror." No reason at all to think he's all of a sudden gotten smart.
I was simply stating that they are in the media and made no judgement about what they said.
Of course, it's not surprising that they're aligned with Obama on issues.
If we already know the answer to the last question, (How many lives saved, attacks thwarted, bad guys captured?) then WHY is Dick Cheney demanding the release of more documents?

Obama has seen to it that our enemies have that information now.
The Central Intelligence Agency told CNSNews.com today that it stands by the assertion made in a May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that the use of “enhanced techniques” of interrogation on al Qaeda leader Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) -- including the use of waterboarding -- caused KSM to reveal information that allowed the U.S. government to thwart a planned attack on Los Angeles.
Before he was waterboarded, when KSM was asked about planned attacks on the United States, he ominously told his CIA interrogators, “Soon, you will know.”
According to the previously classified May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that was released by President Barack Obama last week, the thwarted attack — which KSM called the “Second Wave”– planned “ ‘to use East Asian operatives to crash a hijacked airliner into’ a building in Los Angeles.”

Then WHY do you and Cheney want further information released? Is your concern national security, or politics? Is your concern Left versus Right, or are you concerned about national security?
EVERY decision a president makes is weighed by what his cabinet heads, experts and intelligence tell him.
The final decision is his.
He has the authority to classify AND declassify.
If he doesn't want something made public, it won't happen.
If he does want something made public, such as the case with these memos, even after the OBJECTION by Panetta, his intelligence chief, IT WILL HAPPEN.
Just admit - your pathetic attempt at deflection has failed.
And the issue is still that Cheney claimed the original release of documents compromised our national security. It does not make sense, if you are concerned with the national security of OUR COUNTRY, to release more classified documents in order for Cheney to save face. That's what it's all about anyway. Cheney CLAIMS additional documents will vindicate him. You argue AGAINST your original argument when you advocate for more classified documents be released. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT MAY BE CONTAINED IN THOSE DOCUMENTS. Perhaps Cheney does know what is contained in the additional documents, and that's why he is SURE that those documents WILL NOT be released, therefore, he throws out his demand for their release to make Obama look bad. Huh?
